Ms Bulky

Empowering local communities by pooling resources and buying in bulk.

🛠 Tech Stack

  • Frontend: React.js

  • Backend & Database: Node.js + PostgreSQL

  • Hosting: Google Cloud

  • Version Control: GitHub

The Idea

Many small communities struggle with the high cost of essentials. MS Bulky was created to support the local economy by buying wholesale products and distributing them affordably to members. By pooling demand, the platform helps families save money and strengthens community ties.

My Role

I led the frontend development and database integration, building the bridge between community members and the product catalog.

  • Frontend (React): Designed and developed the interface where members can browse products, view requests, and track availability.

  • Database Integration (PostgreSQL): Built and connected the backend to handle product data, member requests, and inventory updates.

  • Collaboration: Worked with the community organizers to translate needs into clear features, keeping the UI simple and accessible.

Impact

  • 🎯 Helped launch a platform that supported dozens of families with affordable access to wholesale products.

  • 🔗 Made it easier for members to request items directly through the app.

  • 📊 Improved efficiency in tracking orders and community needs.

How else do you think technology could strengthen local economies?
